Wondering who’s behind The Lysst?

Alyssa Ruane is a freelance writer and editor specializing in fashion and lifestyle content. She helps businesses big and small boost their content marketing strategies and media visibility by sprucing up their blogs with SEO-friendly, brand-focused content. (If you’re a company who needs a blog writer or manager, hit me up over here!)

With a background in multimedia journalism and fashion public relations, she’s been everywhere from a rain-soaked public bus to backstage at fashion shows to modeling a wedding dress on Acceso Total.

Simply surviving off of her ability to jot thoughts and write words, she’s determined to make a mark on the world in her own way. Forever described as a free spirit (though she has no idea where people get that idea), she left her desk job that most would find glamorous, and she is now self-employed and helping others achieve their dreams.

When not sitting at her desk in boxers and a cardigan (she prefers the term ‘classy hobo’), writing for a client, she’s probably somewhere near the water. She also enjoys a live music-fueled happy hour, a long run in the sunshine, and wheels upon wheels of smoked Gouda.

Your journey is almost one in the same of mine! I lost myself along the way, too. And through this blog, little by little I started discovering who I was again. You’ll probably like all the words I write under my images, it is all The Secret related. That’s my religion basically! I love your angle.

    • Alyssa Ruane

Thanks for stopping by! It feels good to know I’m not the only one on this journey! Best of luck to you, and I’ll definitely check out your blog. Xo

Wow, I love reading about people like you. You’re someone who I would also describe as free, and you sound like you’re living a really happy life.

    • Alyssa Ruane

Well thank you so much for your comment, Tony! It certainly is uplifting to hear that others are interested in my story. Living a happy life is all we ever want, isn’t it?

Your blog is absolutely lovely! I’ve spent about an hour now just reading everything and taking it all in. Very happy I followed. xo

Not only is this blog spunky, fresh, witty, and well written, it makes me want to be cooler (and makes it seem as though I can do it). You’ve created a place where people can go to be entertained and actually learn a thing or two about style, relationships, and being a better human.

I just signed up for the Short Lysst and I’m excited to read more on my daily commute to work!
