Instructions
  1. Start rice in rice cooker. White rice takes 20 minutes and brown rice takes 40 minutes—plan accordingly.

Add rice, 1 1/2 cups of water, and olive oil and salt to taste. Set it and forget it!

  2. Start sauce. Put medium-sized sauce pot on the stove, with heat to medium-high. Stir garlic, sriracha, honey, sugar, soy sauce, and water together. Wait for the sauce to begin to boil.
  3. Microwave or steam broccoli to your preference.
  4. Cut chicken breasts into small cubes. Place in a bag with 1 cup cornstarch and shake until thoroughly coated.
  5. Get wok hot on medium-high heat. Once hot, add olive oil and chicken. Cook each side of chicken cubes until golden brown and crisp.
  6. When sauce is boiling, slowly add cornstarch and water mixure, stirring it in. Lower heat and stir sauce occassionally until desired thickness or “goopy.”
  7. Add sauce and cooked broccoli to the wok with the cooked chicken. Stir together until all mixed.
  8. Plate with a side of rice.
Recipe Notes

Rice: Remember to rinse your rice before placing it in the rice cooker. We use this rice cooker, and we love it. The rice comes out perfectly sticky and delicious every single time.

Wok: We use this wok which comes with a recipe booklet and the wooden spoon seen in the recipe video. The wok adds a beautiful char to the chicken and helps it crisp better. Plus, it’s just plain fun.

Spiciness: The recipe is great for spicy food lovers. If you want it less spicy, just add extra honey to the sauce and less sriracha. Likewise, you can add more sriracha and less honey if you want a spicier dish.
